WHO WE ARE

Bellissima Pictures Ltd. is a UK registered company set up in 2005 by individuals who are passionate about creating informative and entertaining programs for television, ground-breaking documentaries as well as films for cinema releases which promote cross-cultural concepts and understanding.

Our team consists of individuals, some of whom are attached to us on a free-lance basis, bringing outstanding skills in his/her field of production but united in dedication to global development and understanding in television and cinema.

At Bellissima we strive to keep a keen eye on the aesthetical aspect of our productions because we believe that good content should come in beautiful packages.

At the helm of the company is Nusrat Isa, who also writes and directs under the pseudonym Catherine Goodhope.

Nusrat started her career in broadcasting as a writer for current issue programs on Malaysian Television RTM. Her first documentary was nominated for the Sri Panggung Award.

She later worked with the Hong Kong action-movie director Stanley Tong on two action features before moving to Rome, working on entertainment programs for RAI.

Her documentary White, about the effect of the post 9/11 racial-profiling on a Muslim woman was nominated for the Scottish Documentary Institute's Bridging The Gap 2006.
